Bei E 160f handelt es sich um Apocarotinester. Der Zusatzstoff gehört zu den Stoffklassen F und Vit.

Nach unserer Einschätzung ist E 160f unbedenklich. Er ist allerdings in Europa nicht mehr zugelassen, im wesentlichen wohl, da er von der Industrie einfach nicht mehr genutzt wurde:

„Following its suspension in 2007, Red 2G (E 128) is no longer listed as a permitted colour, nor are Brown FK (E 154) and Ethyl ester of beta-apo-8-carotenic acid (E 160f) as industry indicated that these colours are no longer used.“

Bei E 154 handelt es sich um Braun FK. Der Zusatzstoff gehörte zu Stoffklasse F, ist also ein Farbstoff.

Der Stoff ist nicht mehr zugelassen:
